About Javeria Muneer


Javeria has worked in human services with a focus on disability/ability for the past nine years. She began her journey as a service facilitator, specializing in helping newly diagnosed families with a disability navigate waivers and other coordinating services. She is currently working with a behavioral therapy company where she trains families towards efficacy and better family outcomes while also helping them gain self-advocacy skills. She received her Bachelors in Science from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and is pursuing her Master's in Social Work at the Virginia Commonwealth Institute. She has also been accepted into the VA LEND program and plans to receive her certification in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and complete her Masters in May 2023. Although Javeria's specialty is working with families with disabilities, she has been trained to work with diverse populations and receives ongoing supervision under Susan Pan, LCSW. She will pursue each case with empathy, ensuring the dignity and worth of the individual/family and valuing the relationship she builds with clients.


THERAPY EXPERIENCE:
Family Liaison and Team Support Infinity ABA Therapy and Autism Services, Herdon, VA
Javeria provides mental health and oversees the socio-emotional needs of special needs clients and their families. She will train families in skills such as learning behavioral intervention techniques, self-advocacy and family efficacy skills. She facilitates a support group connecting special needs families and facilitating a sharing of resources, ideas, and emotional needs.

Lead Training and Service Coordinator Lead Training and Service Coordinator, VA
Javeria led a team of training and service coordinators for parent trainings, mental health, self-advocacy training, and service coordination. She also developed and maintained professional relationships to network for resources and referrals in the community and supported school age clients by collaborating with their academic team.
